Weston is located just north of Westport and enjoys close ties with the neighbor, but is markedly different. Weston is suburban, with rustic, almost rural environment. The wooded ridges and valleys of the town are preserved much as they were in pre Revolutionary times. The early American natives used the Weston area as a hunting ground for their local villages.

In 1787 settlers from Fairfield inhabited this land near the Saugatuck River. Now 200 years later, residents still prize their wilderness setting and maintain it by organized conservation efforts.
